
Brian Cookman
Brian Cookman studied martial arts for 40 years and Tai Chi for 23. He is a certified instructor in Yang & Wu styles and Dragon & Tiger Chi Kung. His special interest is in Tai Chi and Health and is Chairman of the Tai Chi & Chi Kung Forum for Health & Special Needs. He is a NHS instructor for Tai Chi in hospitals.
Brian passed away on Friday 18th February 2005 at Addenbrooks Hospital in Cambridge, at the age of 59.

Dan Docherty
Dan Docherty has studied tai chi chuan since 1971 with Master Cheng Tin Hung. In 1980 he was the south-east open-weight champion. Dan is a founder member of both the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and the Taijiquan & Qigong Federation for Europe where he serves as President.

Cornelia Gruber
Cornelia Gruber studied Taijiquan since 1971 with John Chung Li, T.T. Liang, William C.C.Chen & Bow Sim Mark.
She is member of the Professional Association of Taijiquan & Qi Gong of Switzerland and serves of the Executive Committee of the Taijiquan & Qigong Federation for Europe. (TCFE)

Wang Haijun
Wang Haijun studied Chen Style Taijiquan at Chen Villiage, Chenjiagou, from the age of 9. He has won a number of gold medals at major Taiji tournaments in China and is now living in Manchester, UK and teaching in the UK, Ireland, USA and beyond.

Jill Heath
Jill Heath has been studying the internal arts since 1991, has taught in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. since 1996, and made her competition debut in 1999 with a personal best in 2001of 3 gold and 3 bronze medals at a single tournament for form, weapons and push hands. She is a certified Associate Healing Tao instructor, a certified Tai Chi for Arthritis instructor, and a past president and director of the Canadian Taijiquan Federation. She has had articles published in TongRen (a publication of the CTF) and Breathe Deep (an on-line qigong newsletter).
She continues her studies of the internal arts with Sifu Helen Wu, Nick Gracenin and Sam Masich. She much enjoyed her time teaching and training again at Tai Chi Caledonia’sth10th anniversary in Stirling, Scotland in June 2005. She also enjoys the struggle to speak coherently in French and continues to upgrade her language studies. She received marks for originality on her final presentation in French class at college, fall 2006, by bringing enough swords to class for all her classmates and instructor and conducting a mini-workshop en français.

Nils Klug
Nils Klug has studied Tai Chi Chuan since 1988 and has been teaching since 1990. In the same year, Nils began studying with Grand Master William C. C. Chen, and became his certified instructor in 1993, the same year he founded his own Tai Chi Chuan school in Hannover, Germany. In addition to his personal training with eminent instructors such as William C. C. Chen & Dr Tao Ping Siang. Nils has been an active promoter of tai chi chuan through his annual Push Hands Meeting, the largest push hands meeting in Europe, and his regular teaching in Europe, where he also served as President of the Taijiquan & Qigong Federation for Europe.

Eva Koskuba
Eva Koskuba, B.A.
Eva has been studying the Internal Martial Arts since 1982 and teaching since 1986. She teaches Chen Taijiquan, Yang Taijiquan, various types of Qigong, Yiquan, pushing hands, weapons and two person sparring set. She is also learning Xingyiquan and Baguazhang.

Karel has been studying Internal Martial Arts since 1978 and teaching since 1984.

Health:
In the Internal Martial Arts, health is inseparably bound up with the progress of martial skill via cultivation of the internal energy - qi (chi).

Bob Lowey
Bob Lowey, who was a co-founder of Tai Chi Caledonia, began his Martial Arts training in the late 1960’s studying Judo and Karate and, from the mid-1970’s be studied Wang Kung Shou Tao, attained Instructor status in 1979. Bob opened his first Taiji class in East Kilbride in September 1985. He is a regular and popular figure in the European Taiji community where he has been teaching at major events for over 20 years.

Franco Mescola
Franco Mescola has studied martial arts for over 40 years and internal arts since 1975. In 1985 he founded the Tai Chi Research Centre in his native Venice and has worked in hospitals researching the effects of qigong on patients. He has also written a number of articles and books on internal arts. Franco also hosts an international internal arts festival in his native Venice.

Mario Napoli
Mario Napoli Was a close student of Stanley Israel who in turn was a student of Cheng Man-Ching for 11 years. Mario focusses primarily on push hands and has won many tournaments in the USA and Europe and was a successful competitor in Chinese competitions.

Helmut Oberlack
Helmut Oberlack has studied taiji since 1981 and has spent over 17 years teaching in private classes, universities and sports clubs. He is the publisher of the German Taijiquan and Qigong Journal and co-editor of the European Internal Arts Journal.

Marianne Plouvier
Marianne Plouvier is a Yang Taiji Martial Art School's teacher, continuously training since 1990 with M. Antoine Ly.
She is practicing and teaching bare hand form, right and left, saber, sword, stick and fan, pushing hands and eight pieces of brocade.
She took part in many national, european and chinese competitions, both as competitor and judge. She is also AAMYTF's president, FTCCG's vice-president and TCFE Executive Committee's member.

Annie Roberts
Annie Roberts has practiced Qigong Healing since 1995. She volunteered for 7 years at a hospice providing energy-body healing to patients. In 1999 she studied Qigong at three major hospitals in Beijing. Annie began her medical career as a Doctor of Optometry. She is a Professional member of the National Qigong Association USA.

Ronnie Robinson
Ronnie Robinson, founder of Tai Chi Caledona has studied taijiquan since 1981 being training in the Cheng Man-Ching tradition, working with a number of instructors including Larry Butler, Michael Tse and Ian Cameron as well as attending workshops with Mike Sigman, Patrick Kelly, Mario Napoli and having worked privately with Tom Brodie MacClue & Tian Lian. He is a professional instructor and active promoter of internal arts through his various roles as Promotions Manager - Tai Chi Union for Great Britain, Secretary - Taijiquan & Qigong Federation for Europe and Editor of Tai Chi Chuan & Internal Arts magazine (UK). Since 1997 he has been a regular teacher at major European events, including the International Push Hands Meeting where he has taught at 10 of its 12 years.

Ken Van Sickle
Ken Van Sickle was shooting arrows and duelling with playmates, using any available stick, at the age of 6, his fascination with things martial persevered, wrestling in high school, Archery competition, (New Jersey intermediate 1st. Place in 1949) and the study of Foil and Sabre fencing.
After returning from military service in Korea in 1954, Ken went to Paris to study Painting, then returned to live in Manhattan permanently. He practiced Karate with Peter Urban from 1960 – 1967, achieving 3rd. degree black belt. Eventually finding Karate unfulfilling he went on a search for an Art with a more philosophical/spiritual base, this search ended the moment he saw Cheng Man Ch’ing.
He began study with Cheng Man Ch'ing at 211 Canal Street, New York in 1967, attending classes three or four days a week, studying Solo form, Sword form, Push hands and Fencing, He became an instructor in 1971.
In 1972 the Professor gave special classes to a small group of students he chose to be certified as teachers, Ken underwent intensive training in solo form and sword form, He continued to study with Cheng Man Ch’ing until he returned to Taiwan in 1975.
Ken has been teaching Tai Chi since 1980 and conducting workshops is the U.S. and Europe since 1992, he teaches form, push hands, sword form, fencing and Chi Gung, having a special feel for Tai Chi Sword, it has become his specialty. Ken teaches with the method and in the spirit of Cheng Man Ch’ing.

Enzo Simeoni
Enzo Simeoni Has 25 years experience in Internal Martial Arts. His initiation to the martial arts began with Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung under the following Masters Chang Dzu Yao and Franco Mescola. He is currently Technical Director of The Tai Chi Research Center and main collaborator for Master Franco Mescola.

Faye Li Yip
FAYE LI YIP Was born to a traditional Chinese Martial Arts family in Beijing and has studied since childhood. From the age of 7 she trained in Shaolin Quan, then Xing Yi, Bagua and Taiji (Yang and Sun Style) under her father (Prof Li Deyin). She also travelled to many different parts of China to learn from highly respected masters, train with professional coaches and compete with some of China's elite athletes. She has been teaching in the UK since 1990, and she produced many medal-winning students in British National competitions.
